Meet Di (she/her), one of our apprentice piercers. 

 

Born in the southern USA and raised in Canada, moving across the country a few times, Di has settled down in Victoria and has developed a deep love for Island life.  She is very active in the local music scene, from frequently attending live concerts around town to being a festival organizer, she loves creating community and building new connections through music, art and local events!

 

Di is our shop hobbit with a green thumb and a love for comfort, hospitality and nature. Filled with curiosity for the human body, and a fascination for piercings and body modifications, she is excited to be starting her career as a piercing apprentice at Elemental Body Adornment under the mentorship of Victory. Di loves working on nostril piercings, and is eager to learn more challenging piercings. She is a fan of implant grade titanium jewelry, her favourite jewelry is the Spear Dangle - two of which she rocks on her right earlobe, accented with emerald coloured gemstones. 

 

Building connections between self-expression, empowerment and identity is what drives her. She strives to continue to create positive relationships with her clients and learn how to best meet their needs while respecting their autonomy, boundaries and consent.
